Dr. Chris Harris spent his early years in Corvallis Oregon nestled in the heart of Oregon's Willamette Valley, a short 90 minutes of the Portland Metropolitan area. As one of eight children in the Harris family, there was not a lot of extra money floating around and when it was time for braces Chris decided to pay for it himself. It was this experience that changed his life forever.

Chris was a senior in high school and was planning to go to law school in the fall. While visiting his Orthodontist, Dr. Wade Haslam, for a routine check up. Chris and Dr. Haslam struck up a conversation about Chris' plans after high school. The plan was go to law school, get a law degree, and that was it. "Why law?" Dr. Haslam asked. "You should look into Dentistry." Chris had never considered dentistry but he decided to give it a closer look and the rest is history.

Dr. Harris attended Oregon Health Science University OHSU where he thrived in the challenging and competitive environment. It was here he was first exposed to the surgical side of dentistry. "It's not just the challenging aspect of surgical dentistry that caught my attention it was the changes you can make in lives of people that drew me to it. It's tremendous what we can do!"

The life changing aspect of dentistry was never more clear than during 2002 and 2003 while working at a community health center in Tucson Arizona. During this time Dr. Harris helped countless low-income families by providing services they otherwise would not be able to afford. "The most rewarding thing is when we are able to completely transform a persons life" Dr. Harris said. "There is a lot of creativity in what we do. Blending the science with the art in a way that results in something that meets the unique vision and personal needs of each patient, that's what I love!"

Dr. Harris and his wife Janea have four girls, Brinley, Emma, Clara and youngest Aften and love spending time with them going to dance competitions, movies and vacationing in San Diego California. "It's about quality of life I can provide for my family and the quality of life I can provide for my patients."
